Boots is a member of Alliance Boots. We've now brought together the very best of Alliance Pharmacy and Boots, creating a new Boots business.
We're here to help our customers look and feel better than they thought ever possible. With around 2,600 stores from local community pharmacies to large destination health and beauty stores, they will find us in the locations they want us to be, offering fantastic products and services, and will be cared for by expert, friendly people.
Structure
Alliance Boots was created as Europe's leading pharmacy-led health and beauty group through the merger of Alliance UniChem and Boots Group Plc in July 2007. The following year, Boots became a privately owned company when it was acquired by KKR and Stefano Pessina.
Stores
Convenience is important to our customers. We make efforts to ensure that, wherever they are in the UK, they are within easy reach of a Boots store.
We're currently embarking on a major expansion of the Boots brand by re-branding our community pharmacies, Alliance Pharmacy as 'your local Boots pharmacy'. Our larger Boots health and beauty stores offer destination shopping with a wide range of products including all Boots leading brands and our flagship stores also offer beauty halls with beauty consultants and premium cosmetics. Our Boots airport stores have targeted ranges to meet the needs of our customers when they're travelling.
Brands
We're committed to offering our customers innovative and fantastic new products. We do this through our brand expertise along with our strong product development and sourcing capabilities.
Many of our product brands, such as No7 skincare and cosmetics, hold market leading positions in the UK and are growing fast in both profile and market penetration.
Almost all of our innovative, unique products are developed in our own product development, testing and customer evaluation facilities in Nottingham. These unique facilities provide us with a significant skills and resource base to evolve and grow our product portfolio giving our customers innovative and fantastic new products.
Loyalty scheme
The Boots Advantage card is one of the most generous loyalty scheme on the high street, giving our customers an amazing 4 points per £1.
